Modern Infra-red technology has enabled us to offer thermographic scans of Building installations using the latest thermographic imaging equipment.
With the use of a thermal imaging camera to detect faults has the advantage of being non invasive and non destructive.
It is rare for faults and failures to occur without the build up of heat energy. Most electrical faults are caused initially by loose connections. Detecting these problems early and rectifying them before a catastrophic failure occurs can save considerable costs and downtime.
It is not just electrical connections and components which generate heat. Electrical motors, bearings and gearboxes are also susceptible to excessive heat before failure.
If faults are found City Electricians can then schedule any repairs at a time more convenient to your production needs.

What are the advantages?
- Continued production
- Minimal disruption.
- Non invasive survey.
- Scheduled repairs rather than Breakdown repair.
- Regular reports.
- Periodic monitoring.
What does it entail?
A thermographic survey involves a visual inspection of the installation followed by electrical tests of voltage, current draw and power consumption. A survey using a thermal imaging camera will be carried out concentrating on possible points of failure. A report will then be created highlighting potential issues and providing a reference for all future surveys.
